I had bought a kitten about a month ago. At first she didn't like Missy, but Missy was persitant and eventually won her over, so they played. Although I felt the cat was a little bit too rough at times, and worried that as the cat grew it could become dangerous for Missy. Then I brought Dora home a few days ago, and 3 times the cat tried to kill Dora. I spoke to my vet and found out that it was "predatory behaviour" and completely instinctual for the cat to act this way. She was NOT trying to play, she was hunting. The vet said not to leave Dora alone with the cat for even a second, because the cat would kill her. I decided to rehome the cat to my bestfriend whom lives up the street. I didn't want to risk her killing Dora. |
