Default Ellie has Eclampsia

Well thank the lord above I heartburn last night. After 15 minutes of tossing and turning in the bed last night, I came down stairs for some milk, and I found Ellie in her box and she was as rigid as stone. I got her out of the box immediately, rushed her to the emergency vet. They said we got it just in time. They gave her IV with calcium, a shot for vomiting and then some extra IV fluids. The puppies are now 16 days old and she can no longer nurse them. I am feeding them with a bottle, equal parts goats milk and water. My husband will be feeding them during the day while I am at work, and hopefully I will not need it, but my mother has offered to help as well.

Ellie is doing much better, but she doesn't understand why she can't feed them. Any words of advice on a quick way to get her milk to dry up without getting mastitis? Everyone appreciated the bottle this morning with the exception of the largest one. He still wants the teat. I am going to try to put a little karo syrup on the nipple and see if he takes it.

Is it a good idea to get her spayed? She had a litter before and she developed matisis, other than that, she was fine. I'm so torn as this has never happened to her before. Any words of advice is greatly appreciated.
