I am so sorry you had to give up your baby. I can certainly sympathize with you. No one buys a puppy expecting to spend 8000.00 on them. Most of us know you have to have some emergency money but not to many can come up with large amounts especially in this economy. When I got Cali she was sick every other week and with in 6 months had run up over 8,000.00 in vet bills. I was fortunate that I had taken insurance on her and though a lot was denied as preexisting or genetic they covered close to 3,000.00. I had also lost my job 6 months before but my parents helped me. Had I not had those circumstances who knows what would have happened. I really would pursue Banfield as they should have been able to diagnose her properly and treat her at a much lower cost. I would just keep going thru the chain of command until you get some one who may help you. I can imagine how awful you must feel. Hugs |
