Unfortunately I don't think you can do anything now that you signed your dog off to them. Did they give you any paper work to sign that you were giving up ownership? I really think since you surrendered her you can't get her back legally.
I already shared my similar story to you but in my situation my vet was very understanding of Stormy's attachment to me and he felt it was in her best interest to return to me. I know she was there for almost a month so I am sure if I was to pay the full bill of surgery, testing and boarding it would of been extremely expensive. I know for a stay at our hospital for a night is 250$.
The vet was very nice and I only paid 300$ to get her back. I spoke with him
before when I surrendered her and he knew how much we cared for her and he knew the history we had at the vets. Also he did say she was not bonding with anybody at the clinic and that she was very depressed so I think that is the reason why i did get her back.
I would go and speak with them again but it really seems like you can't do much more then that. GOod luck |
