We live in land locked Oklahoma....Galveston is our nearest beach ( and no the water is not near as nice as Florida....but it is closer) I have not been to Crystal Beach but have heard it is very nice.
We have a trailer near the beach.....love to escape the stress in our lives by sitting on the beach, walking along the shore, touring the historic area downtown....eating shrimp, etc. AND our grandson lives in Houston....so it is double the pleasure.
Max loves loves the beach, used to try to chase the tiny crabs.....until one little 1/2 incher latched on to the hair of one of his paws....he shook and shook it trying to back out of its little claws....so now he walks around the crab holes...looking anxiously at them expecting the emergence of the "monster" crabs
He marks every shell....so I end up carrying him most of the way...otherwise it would take me a week to stroll a block or two.
