thank g*d that the vet is open 24 hrs. At about 1:00 am Lupo started panting and shaking, so I called the vet and they said that meant he was in pain and to give him
2 drops of pain meds with food. I was afraid of overdosing him, but they said it was okay. So I did, and he basically passed out. The cone was holding his head up, and i had to try to arrange him into a comforatable position.
So...I stayed up all night watching him to make sure he was breathing. At about 6:30 my dh took over, and I slept for about 3 hours. When I got up he seemed much better, awake and walking around, and he wagged his tail when he saw me, and licked my hand.
Tonight if he's in pain he's getting
ONE DROP of pain meds!
I was so tired when i got up, I went to take my own medication which i take every day, 4 pills, and I picked up my dhs rx for muscle relaxers, popped 4 in my mouth, and realized what i'd done and spit them out!!!! can u imagine
4MUSCLE RELAXERS!?!? i'm such an idiot.
