smokey is almost 8 months old now, and i'm getting him neutered as soon as our pet insurance policy goes into effect. i soo don't want him to pick up any annoying marking habits.

neutering goes so much more smoothly than spay, your baby will be fine.
and i'm not too sure about heart murmers in dogs, but it's fairly common in humans actually, and not always cause for concern. it just means that there's a little noise from the blood pumping in the chambers or veins. your vet will be able to help you by keeping an eye on it. i'm sure it will be just fine.
