it may have developed into a yeast infection which is common when dogs lick their paws. It becomes damp and is a great place for a yeast infection to develop. I would go see a vet. Is he chewing at it or licking? If he is chewing (and presumably itching) You can give him benedryl. Layla is 7 lbs and gets 1/4 of an adult tablet.
