However, how you proceeded with the breeding is not the proper way to breed. A bitch can ruin a stud, not only physically but, mentally. In other words active participation is necessary, preferrably 2 people. One holding and guiding the male, the other holding and calming the female. This method would ensure that the female could not drag the male around and render him injured.......
There are also other factors that figure into the process and would require other info on your invironmental conditions.
You mentioned you chose these two because of coat quality.....are there other attributes that your stud has that your female doesn't. Maybe earset, topline, temperament, tailset, etc. |
I didn't think of that, it was indeed her first breeding. I don't usually leave them alone when breeding them. They were actually in my bedroom with me in their cage but they could have tied while I was asleep. I guess they didn't.
No other attributes, they are both the same size, good toplines, sweet temperments, both good looking dogs. They look like a good match. Sylvia
