I only know of a couple of people using surrogate mothers. All with great success.....Yorkies for the most part are great mothers.....very rarely have I heard of them not adapting to motherhood and killing pups.
One friend lost her dam. She contacted a surrogate program and her pups were placed with a French Bull Dog.......who raised the pups until they were 8 weeks of age. Another lost her yorkie dam and used another dam that had lost her litter two days prior.....all worked out well.
