I know what I want and what I like and what it takes but with my limited breeding I'm still taking it all in. I still ask my mentors and other exhibitor/breeders for their opinion while in the evaluation stage. But I strongly believe one has to be in the ring and out there and have a few champions under their belt. While I have my opinions I feel I have enough knowledge to evaluate in what i want to watch for the show ring and then go from there I hope that made some kind of sense LOL

Thanks Donna,
I know that I had a wonderful mentor in knowing what to look for......she saw things in the beginning that I didn't see or knew nothing about.......However, being in the ring and being around those greats that were willing to share their expertise with me.......well there's nothing like getting in there. I think we all continue to learn and lean on each other for advice. But, I agree one needs to get in the ring, Champion a few dogs, before you can offer any advice with some degree of intellegence.
