In the first group of pictures her topline looks good, her rear legs are stretched out pretty good. In the second set of pictures the 2nd and 4th picture she appears a little higher in the rear, shoulders are lower but her rear legs are not stretched out as much. You need really study her movement and see if she is moving level. If you have a video camera and can have someone video you moving her on a lead with head up that will tell you a lot.
As for the ears, my Yogi has similar ears. When he is alert his ear set looks beautiful but if he is tired or unhappy (like in the show ring) he will let his ears down. If your girl has a good attitude and will be alert in the ring it might not hurt her too much.
Like the other ladies said, these are just observations and to really tell one would have to see her in person. Just remember, none of them are perfect. I am really excited for you getting into showing. I think you will do just fine. |
Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I think that as she is maturing she is becoming more confident. As I have been working with Stryker and Reve I really never worked with her. She is a submissive bitch and tends to follow. She also rolls on her back immediately when approached so I assumed she would not show well. However as I'm working with her now she is doing pretty good. She was in conformation class with 4 dogs that were all over 50lbs and she did good. When she is afraid she drops her hind end and doesn't look straight. But all of mine do that. If she keeps her confidence up I think she will do fine. I am really impressed with her. I literally just started working with her. I got a grooming table at the show Saturday and it is very sturdy. I should not have put her on that unsturdy table. She was really afraid. Her confidence shows in the very last photo where she looks very alert. She is a very pretty girl and her coat is a dream. Getting her accustom to being handled is my objective now and growing her coat. She has been a lap dog so she's not use to having to work for treats. lol So that's my focus with her now. She is a pleaser so I have no doubt that she can do it.
