Kathy pretty much posted my thoughts, but I will add it is not up to the breeder to court you!! Any breeder worth his/her salt will never solicit prospective buyers. Most prestigious bloodline are not shared easily to the inexperienced or wanna be breeder because you have no interest in bettering the breed. A good prospective breeder will learn everything they can by adopting a show/breeder mentor, visiting all local dog shows and veraciously read anything and everything about the breed and learning predigrees.

Once that is established and only then will you doors open giving you access to the top bloodlines. Also keep in mind most good bloodlines are NOT going to be sold just for breeding purposes. Most would want your committment in showing in the ring and many would only sell on co-ownership until finished!
