Thanks for posting that info. The metal rod thing just made me sick...
Still haven't decided if we're going to get her or not.
She is asking a great price (i think) but I still need to convince my husband that we can spend that money now.
I feel like I need to bring her home and love her!
she is 4 years old..so at least I'm beyond the puppy chewing stage (right?!)
And she is almost housebroken
Her name is Lily and she's about 6 lbs. |
I would hope that the breeder with the baby you were considering did not debark her by shoving a metal rod down her throat which was what it sounded like some of the posters on your thread were implying. That would be despicable and I think it would be too damaging and even life threatening to a yorkie's already fragile trachea.
I am sure that sort of cruel and inhumane treatment does occur in this world and it is disgusting and unfogiveable and should be punished, but I just felt everyone should know that not everyone who has made the decision to debark their dog did it in this cruel way. Some used the surgical and accepted veterinary procedure to accomplish a reduced volume to the bark and they did it in some instances to save the dog's life.
