archie marked for a bit right after he was neutered, out of habit, but now, he doesn't stop every inch to do it. marking territory is not necessarily a bad thing as long as he does it outside...it's a way of saying that archie was here. it's what dogs do.

i think that as he got older and more trained, and learned to walk properly on a leash, his tendency to keep stopping and investigating and peeing on things to make sure everyone knew that he stopped to investigate started to diminish.
