A lot of people like keeping a zoom the majority of the time on their camera body. On the flip side, a lot folks (like me) like to have a really small, prime lens (the light, small 50mm) on their camera the majority of the time.
It all just depends on you. It's nice to have both available, eventually. Which is why it's *so* freakin' great the Nikkor 50mm is only around $100, which is dirt for a lens. |
