I'm new to this too, but from what I've heard from others, you can start offering them gruel anywhere from 3-4 weeks of age. I say 3-4, because I've always thought 4 weeks, but have heard of those feeding gruel as early as 3 weeks- not sure if there's a big difference or not. Some will probably take right to it, while others may prefer to nurse for longer. I think every puppy is different.
I hope to see pictures soon. How much have your puppies gained this past week, I'm just comparing.
