I have a 10 month old yorkie poo and I leave water in her bowl all day. She eats twice a day but water stays in her bowl all the time. She kind of know herself that she shouldn't drink the water before bed because she won't be let out till morning. She sleeps in her crate. She use to sleep with me in my bed untill she thought the whole bed was hers. So recently I decided to put her back in her own space, but when she did sleep with me she always lets me know when she has to go but then again you have males!
