I sure hope it doesn't. And this vet doesn't sound like she knows what the heck she's doing. ??? And my little girls had theirs done today, they're now 2 days old. We went into the vet, had their tails/dewclaws done and then I came home. A little while later, I went in to check on everyone and noticed my little Marina still had her back dewclaws. From what I understand, it's not common for them to have them on their back feet, but Marina had them alright. I guess the vet just overlooked it; we had to take her in again (poor thing) and have the back done. I felt awful because when we got home the first time, I told her that it was all over. So that just makes me a big fat liar. Poor little Marina.
Well, keep us posted on the little one. Hopefully the wound will heal nicely, I'm sure it will. good luck!
