Gimp works on Mac, not sure what your version is, but Gimp seems to have a version for most computers.
GIMP - for Mac OS X If you don't find it there just do a google with your version of Mac and the word Gimp. Gimp is a wonderful free program and it rivals Photoshop in capabilities. Lots of tutorials on the web and U-tube too.
