First let me say I'm sorry.

It's very difficult to breed to virgins.....almost an impossibility. The young stud is too excited, and if his numerous attempts miss the mark, there is frustration on his part. Then the maiden, though she stands and flags doesn't know how to entice the stud. The one time I attempted it, every time the stud would get to the point of hitting the mark, the bitch would let out a yelp....he'd back away....his ego wounded. The best option would have been to AI.

It is always best to put a maiden with an experienced stud and visa versa.

Here's hoping your vet could be wrong but, if not, I think the next time you'll be successful, if it doesn't work....AI.
