i have no experience on the issue, but i was thinkin maybe if you put him in some sort of shirt or outfit where it would cover his whole underside then he would be covered no matter if it rode down or not. or perhaps you could take an ace bandage and wrap that around most of his torso. i dunno really, just tryin to give u some ideas.
