The only time flash does a nice job is when you can "bounce" it...ie angle the flash. In other words, I have a flash I can attach (the SB400, which BrowniesMom also has), I can angle the flash piece of it UP toward the the ceiling or at 45 degrees or so. SO, when the flash goes off, I can get this beautiful light, but NO glaring direct "flash" light AT my subject. Rather, the flash/light is being " bounced" AT them from the ceiling. The light is being reflected toward them, not directed on them. Does that make sense?  | Do you have an example of a picture where you used this flash?
