I think the longer you wait, the more likely they will keep the bad habits (marking in the house, humping etc) so I chose to neuter at 6 months. His humping stopped within a week or so after his surgery

It's a personal choice, but I don't want a humping machine in my house! haha

Oh wow! Thank you for sharing that. I'll keep an eye on him. So far he hasn't started humping or marking anything.
