Yes exactly! I try to avoid using flash if at all possible, so sometimes if light is low and it's causing my shutter speed to want to be too slow (causing blur), I'll kick up my ISO, sometimes even super high - thereby avoiding the need for flash.
Keep in mind that using high ISOs can cause (sometimes) a more grainy appearance, rather than more crisp, but sometimes you would not even notice....and sometimes, I really dig grainy anyway!
