Congrats on your baby! And how awesome you have given her a chance at a real life! We have an 8ft privacy fence and we never let Cooper who is 2yrs old and 5.5 lbs-6lbs go out alone. We had a horrible scare when he was young, our neighbor had a husky who is the "sweetest thing and would never hurt anything" (yeah right) put his head/nose/face under our privacy fence he was always digging under our fence no matter how many times we covered it back up....I was with him and heard the phone ring, thought he came in behind me and I swear it was only a couple of seconds/minute and heard the most blood curdling sound ever....the Husky pulled him under the fence.....I had nightmares for weeks about that sound. Luckily my DH had just left a ladder by the fence and I grabbed it and jumped over to get him. We were SOOOO very lucky he had no real injuries. The vet was absolute shocked no broken bones or tears.
Please know I am not trying to be all doom and gloom and scare you, but these guys are so little they can get under places you would never even imagine.
