There is this show going around the country now that is a broadway style show of 101 dalmations. They have about 50 something dogs live on stage and they do amazing things, all of them are rescue and shelter dogs, probably turned in by people who don't understand how quirky and energy filled a dalmation can be.

That is the problem. They are ignorant. But not every one that owns an APBT is like this and it's sad that the good ones get pulled in with the bad ones.
When my son was wanting one I insisted that he get one from a good breeder and it be an APBT, and not one of the knockoffs that people call Pit Bulls. Even though he's a grown man on his own, he's MY son so he listened...LOL The wildest thing that he does is run like the flash to jump in Ladybird Lake. Then you have to literally go in and make him get out. He's a big time serious swimmer and has been swimming on weekends since he was 3 months old, starting the same week of those shots. He's now 18 months old. I told my son he should be a water rescue dog.
