Most of the shampoos are coconut flavor, and I really don't like the smell. Also most of them seem to have specific purposes, like flea preventative or for super curly hair or something like that and this one was just a general detangler shampoo.
Is it normal for yorkies hair to be very thin? It seems on her back you can see her skin sometimes if her hair is tossled the right way, and also when I bathed her it was as if she had no hair at all but dry it looks mostly normal, just on the occasion it looks bald-ish?
It was like that before I shampood so I don't think this is a result from the shampoo or bath. |
Well, like I was saying before, yorkies don't have the double coat that most dogs have, and the undercoat is what makes other dogs hair seem thicker, but it's what sheds. I imagine there is a wider variety of thin verses thick hair among yorkies, and cotton coats in general, are thicker, but you do have matting with them, and the preferred coat is silky. Silky coats tend to be finer than cotton, but some fine silky coat are also fairly thick, so this varies greatly, as it does with humans. It hard to say, what's normal for her, did her hair use to be thicker or more abundant? Joey has fine silky hair, but he has abundant hair, and it doesn't look sparse or thin. How old is she?
