no offence taken however I have researched this myself, and nowhere have I read anything like that. It only takes one perant to carry the gene defect, not both, however if you know of this research posted anywhere on the net I would love to read it, I am always open to learning something new. I would like to know where this is at so I can read it. thank you for your input just the same, but again I would need to read this myself. And I do agree people should breed to better the breed, when I did breed I did it for that reason. However I did have a female that had a blue pup, and she was fixed and placed in a pet home, I found out later she had a litter from the person who had her before me and she had a blue pup then as well 2 different fathers but same Mom. Neihter father has thrown a blue pup sence, so I don't agree. I no longger breed but the offsring and half brothers of the father I used are still breeding no blue pups at all, the father I have has 4 half bothers breeding with other breeders and in 8 yrs no blue pups, so forgive me if I disagree with your post. hope I have not offended you as well, just speacking from experiance, blessings Denise
