The vet did give me a can of AD and it has been great. She had no interest in eating it on her own, but I was able to get her to swallow it in a tube they gave me. Despite the fact that she did not want it, she did keep it down and it gave her a bit of energy.
Tonight I gave her a Stella and chewy's beef patty and she ate it on her own! Not quite the whole patty, but close. Hopefully she is on her way to getting better.
In the meantime, I agree with you on the breeder comment. I have learned a lot in the last day and see that these things do happen. My breeder just called me again this evening and we talked at length about what we need to do to keep Ava on the road to getting better. She is very concerned about her and I feel very very good about the support I am getting from her.
