I've never heard of tongue issues either but Chachi is right...the gums are what to look at.
If her gums start becoming really light pink that can also be a sign of sugar shock/ hypoglycemia. I was told their gum color should closely resemble ours.
I remember the 2 times Pochi went into sugar shock, his gums were so light pink they were almost white. He was lethargic and going into convusions. I had to pour karo syrup down his throat. It was scarey! After that I would check his gums often.
He's now over 2yrs old and a big fat heffer (ok he's under 4 pounds but he acts like he's 20lbs) |
