Your camera doesn't have a lens focus motor in the camera body. So, you need lenses that can focus on their own....in other words, they need to have their OWN focus motor (*in* the lens).
For Nikon lenses, you need to look for lenses that are noted as "AFS" lenses.
For Sigma lenses, you need to look for "HSM" lenses (they may have added another auto focus-motor line as well, I'm not totally sure...anyone else?).
As for Tamron...anyone know how they note their lenses that have a focus motor on board?
