I know the panicky feeling. There were a couple of times I looked for Sophie feeling sure she was in the house somewhere but when I called her for 10 minutes or more and she didn't answer I started second guessing myself thinking, did she slip out the door when I went to get the mail? Or when I brought the groceries in? Surely I would have noticed as I am always watchful when I open the door to outside. Finally I opened every closet door and when I got to the last one there she sat, quiet as a mouse and looking up at me sweetly as if she was playing hide and seek.
What a relief
