She really needs HELP. That is why i mentioned a rescue, that would take the mom in and care for her, maybe even get her fixed and give her back to her after weaning the puppies if she is indeed pregnant.
Read her other posts and you will see how naive this person is to just come open on a forum like this. She really needs help from someone who can educate her, get those dogs fixed so no more "accidents" like this possible pregnancy will happen.
This is a very sad situation, but if we do not use WISDOM, we will not be able to help or educate , or protect the animals we love so much.
I hope she keeps coming back and will eventually understand that she needs help and will actually seek help, the right help for herself and these unfortunate dogs.
I think that you are mistaken about how a rescue works. There is not a rescue out there that would take a dog, spay it and then return it to the owner.

As for the OPer, she has been back and has not posted to this thread with an update. If she wanted to be responsible and was not able to care for a litter of puppies then she needs to take her dog to the vet and have it spayed~immediately! Spay/neuter clinics are available all over and more people should be taking advantage of the low cost programs so that these types of "accidents" do not happen. There is such a huge problem in CA with pet over population, the rescues are not even able to keep up with the demand of what is going on in the shelters. The shelters are overrun with abandoned pets and they are being PTS because the rescues do not have the space of money to take them all in to their care.

This is directly to the OPer~~~~if you need to have the name of a low cost spay/neuter clinic in your area send me a PM and I will give you a link that you can use. I believe that a spay is around $80 and MUCH less than a emergency c section or vetting of a pregnant mom and her litter of puppies.
