I would love to have my whole house tiled but it's not in the budget right now. The two new puppies have free time in the living/dining area which is still carpeting. I keep little training pants on them with the pads in them while they are having free time, just in case. If they do start to sniff around or squat, I can get them outside without any pee getting on the carpet. We all know how fast they can go on wall to wall carpeting
