no my hubby filed the edge with a dremmel tool.. to make it rounded and smooth it was a mess of plastic on the deck but worth the cleanup.. you can also use sand paper but the dremmel tool is a lot faster..LOL , when the pupies started climbing out I just put the metal pen around it to keep them in...
