Yes, the vet might cost a lot of money, but having puppies is very expensive and there is no good and safe way around that.

Diagnostic imaging will be about $40-$100.
Raising pups (they will need 1-2 sets of vaccines before leaving you, fecals, maybe dewormings, maybe tails and dew claws done) will be quite a bit.
Hopefully she won't need a c-section which could be up to $2000 (if she is pregnant, this money needs to be available to you even if it means Care Credit).
Then if anything goes wrong with the mom or pups (eclampsia, liver shunt, etc.), that will likely be quite a bit more costly.

Just in care she is pregnant, she should be treated like she is. Like someone else said, a crash course in breeding is vey important at this point. Maybe you can find someone to help you in your area that has experience breeding small dogs.
