Ok don't laugh because i might be WAY off but i just read a thread that was about Microchips and how they move around under the skin. Was she Microchipped ? If she was, try to see if you can find the Microchip where it was put in. If you can't find it, that might be it because you said it was small (like a pebble) and didn't hurt her. Who knows, it's just a thaught
