I think she'll get used to it eventually. Every dog is so different. I have a friend with two Maltese and each wears a different color Coach collar. One of the girls is always flipping her jaw under her collar as if to show it off to you, like you won't notice it unless she gets her jaw under it to shove it in your face. Once you notice it and make over it, then she slips her jaw back out, it falls back into place and she is content to go about her business.
