I bought Sophie a new Coach collar (xs) while we were in Orlando last week. I thought I'd put it on her so she'd get used to it. So, I did and it is so cute and she wore it for a while. Then she started messing with it trying to get it off and SHE GOT IT STUCK IN HER MOUTH!!!!
I was freaking out!!! DH was home, too so he rushed over and helped me get it off. She was yelping and crying and I was so scared that I had maybe hurt her by pulling her jaw trying to get it off.
Finally we got it off and DH took it off. I only plan on using it for ID purposes while we are out and I don't plan on her wearing it all the time, but that scared me so bad!!!!
I walk her with a harness and she's plenty used to that. Do your babies eventually get used to collars, too? I also am planning on getting her microchipped, too but I want the collar for extra ID protection. Any suggestions for getting her used to it?
