Well belive it or not, there are no breeders within 3 hours of me that keep their puppies past 6 wks. I got Tucker from her also and I got him when he was 8wks. Only because she had another litter that was 2 weeks behind him and she only wanted to run one ad in the paper.. I already have Tucker and lots ot time and Nutrical so I would rather take her at 6wks then let someone like a mill get her. The breeder is in her late 80's so she has been letting her daughter take over alot and her daughter is the one that wants them gone at 6wks. They have both said that the mother has been breeding Yorkies for 35yrs and she always kept the puppies until they were 9-10wks but the daughter said that the vet said it was ok to let them go at 6wks and since she is taking over I guess she has changed the rules so to speak!! |
