Hi all -

Sorry I haven't been on the site for a while. Yes, Rachel is right, a lot of time and research has gone into this diet. I shared this diet because I personally have used it for 2.5 years with excellent results (good blood work, good check ups, etc.). My mother has used it herself for several years.

I'm not trying to "pimp" my mom or her recipe - but I do believe in her and her research. In addition to providing me with this basic recipe, Mom has helped many other dog owners with special needs by adjusting the ingredients.

Everyone has an opinion on diets - and I encourage anyone to get a 2nd opinion from an nutritionist or vet - esp. if your baby has special needs. I shared this diet with my vet (who also studied nutrition) and she agreed that it is a very nutritious diet.

And yes, the amount fed should be adjusted by weight and activity. My Bailey is 6 lbs. and not that active. So feed more or less as needed to maintain the desired weight.
