Just FYI.... we just had a litter of Australian Shepherd puppies almost 8 weeks ago and I noticed mom panting and shivering a little the day after the birth. Took her temp and it was slightly elevated so I took her to the vet along with the pups to get their tails docked. She ended up having an early case of mastitis. That could possibly be causing your mom to do this. Have you felt her teets?
