Our Sophie misses both of us when we leave, too. When DH leaves for work she runs to the stairs and gives him kisses every morning and waits for him on top of the couch looking out the window every evening until he comes in the door and then gives him tons of kisses. He tells me she does the same thing, looking out the window, if I'm gone to the store. We are planning a trip for 10 days to Jamaica in February and I worry about how she'll be in our absence. We have only been separated once over night. Our yorkie "Baby" (r.i.p.) would give us the cold shoulder as punishment for about 15 minutes when we came home from a vacation and then finally forgive us and shower us with kisses. She hated to see the luggage come out. It was only once a year we went without her but it still always made me feel bad.
