I think it does depend on how affected he is and you need more time to really evaluate how affected he will be. I have a little 18 month old boy who was the smallest in his litter and I thought he was having trouble latching on because he was just slightly less mature than his brother and sisters. Actually it's one of the symptoms (intention tremors) when they try and focus on something like the food bowl or your face they will get tremors. My little guy doesn't have any motor problems and his tremors haven't gotten any worse. He doesn't shake all the time. He's a very sweet boy but most of the people that have been interested in him have been spooked by the videos on the internet. If he stays with me forever I'm fine with that too.
