have you tried putting her pen in another room so that you cannot hear the whining? as long as she's ok in her pen a little whining isn't going to hurt. i'd put it in a different room and just ignore her. she's getting used to the routine of getting up at 5am and in my opinion you need to break it. i would hate to have to continually get up at 5am as she gets older.

at 5 months i think morgan may have been holding it till 6am. i'd take her out and then put her right back in her crate and tell her to go back to sleep. her crate was in my room and she didn't whine like yours. now she'll stay in bed till i get up no matter what the time.
