It all depends how severe his symptoms are. At 3 weeks I think it it hard to tell. If he isn't able to walk at all though he won't have much quality of life. I wait a few weeks and assess him again. I'd also want the diagnosis confirmed. I would definately get a second opinion when he's a bit older. We have a dog whoses 3yrs old with a huge hole in his soft palate who the vet said probaby wouldn't make it through puppyhood so you just never know
