Better Breath Biscuits- for Dogs Recipe
Dog treats/biscuits that are safe & easy to make! Can improve bad breath. Enjoy, I usually use cookie cutters for fun shapes.

SERVES 24 -48
3 cups whole wheat flour (can use all-purpose I use Potato Flour Or Rice Flour)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons chopped mint leaves, fresh(Plus 1 Tablespoon Parsley optional)
1.Preheat oven to 425 deg.
2.Using a mixer; combine flour, baking powder & soda in the bowl.
3.Add shortening slowly and process until it resembles cornmeal.
4.Add yogurt and mix until combined.
5.Add honey & parsley and mix through.
6.Roll out for even cooking. Can use cutters for shapes or just cut into bars.
7.Place on cookie sheet & bake 10-14min, or until they start to brown.
8.Allow to come to room temp then place in airtight containers &/or refrigerate.
9.Will last at room temp for approx 6 days, keep in fridge for longevity.
10.I recommend 1/2" by 1" bars for small & med dogs or 1" by 2" for large breeds. Even smaller pieces are great for training!
