Yorkies are great and fine with children just advise doing research regarding size. Young children can be gentle...but the tiny dogs can get stepped on very easily. Not sure what you meant by "small one" and I know there are members with little kids and small Yorkies. All Yorkies are pretty small
Do you want a dog that your kids can play with?
Our pup is in a house with 4 adults and we are all very careful about shuffling and keeping her safe. Sometimes it's kind of exhausting, sort of like letting a 3 lb. baby crawl around your feet. Scary stuff.
