Did the vet do an MRI to determine this? Or what tests did he preform? I have heard of dogs living with CH, below is a link of one who is. From what I understand, if he can feed for himself, then he does have a chance, with help from the family of course. Rolling Dog Ranch might be able to assist you with information.
